| TWA Resort at JFK Airport Opens Curling Rink on TarmacFrequent Enterprise Traveler

The TWA Resort at John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport introduced the opening of a curling rink on its tarmac subsequent to the resort’s restored 1958 Lockheed Constellation, often called the “Connie,” which is used as a cocktail lounge.

Curling, which originated in Scotland, is a sport wherein gamers slide stones on a sheet of ice towards a goal space which is segmented into 4 concentric circles.

Entry to the rink is free and first-come, first-serve.

In 2019, the resort opened one of many solely ice skating rinks at a U.S. airport on its tarmac.  Since then, the tarmac space has additionally served as a curler skating rink, and a camp-themed vacation spot.  The brand new addition is the one curling rink at a U.S. airport.

In 2020, the resort opened the Runway Chalet ski lodge on its roof, usually residence to a rooftop pool that provides glorious runway views.

The curling rink is open Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to five p.m. It would, nevertheless, be closed on December 24 and December 25, in addition to on December 31 and January 1.

The TWA Resort itself is centered across the TWA Flight Middle, designed by Eero Saarinen and is the one resort situated on the John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport.
