MANILA, Philippines — Starbucks Philippines strengthened its partnership with Gawad Kalinga for its Kusina ng Kalinga Program as a part of the corporate’s steady world advocacy for starvation aid. Starbucks Philippines and Gawad Kalinga have a shared objective to assist struggle starvation and assist communities within the Philippines.

Gawad Kalinga’s Kusina ng Kalinga program is their strategic response to handle starvation and malnutrition amongst Filipino kids and pregnant and lactating moms. It’s a meals donation program the place 1000’s of nutritious meals are ready and distributed to these in want. In July 2022, the Kusina ng Kalinga program began implementing this system in Gawad Kalinga communities in Toyota, Sta. Rosa Laguna and Tribuin, Batasan Hills. 

On December 13, Starbucks Philippines and Gawad Kalinga held a face-to-face volunteering program in Gawad Kalinga Batasan, Quezon Metropolis. This program was applied throughout three GK barangays: GK Pioneer, GK Tribu, and GK Telus II, and Starbucks companions (staff) volunteered to assist put together and serve meals to 300 kids in want of diet.
