Rwandair has introduced plans to launch direct flights from Kigali to London Heathrow from November 6.
The African airline has been working thrice-weekly flights to London by way of Brussels since 2017, however will start a nonstop service subsequent month to cater to demand.
The brand new four-times-weekly service shall be operated by A330 plane, configured with two cabins (financial system and enterprise).
Flights will depart Kigali on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2335, arriving in London at 0620 the next day.
The return flight will depart London at 2030 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and arrive in Kigali at 0700 the next day.
Yvonne Makolo, CEO of Rwandair, mentioned:
“We’re excited to be launching direct flights to London, that are on sale from right now, because of the recognition of our present providers.
“The UK is an extremely necessary marketplace for us, and we all know our prospects will worth the shorter flight instances and elevated connections that shall be supplied by the brand new service.”
The airline previously flew from Kigali to London Gatwick, switching to Heathrow in 2020 to “enhance connections for these travelling from additional afield”.
