Dutch resort model Citizen M has opened a further property in Washington DC.
The 296-room Citizen M Washington DC NoMa, situated north of Massachusetts Avenue, joins the model’s present resort within the metropolis’s Capitol Hill space.
The resort was designed by the model’s architectural companion Concrete and options commissioned art work by native artists, impressed by ‘The United Colours of Washington’.
Hannah Whitaker’s Circulations mural is wrapped across the facade of the resort, whereas the inside options her Vibrations work, that includes darkish stripes and flares of color. Rooms, in the meantime, embody modern works by native artists together with Andy Yonder, Charles Jean Pierre, Melvin Nesbitt, Nekisha Durrett and Tim Doud.
Rooms embody XL king-size wall-to-wall beds, and LED/LCD widescreen TV with streaming capabilities, free high-speed wifi and an iPad to manage the lighting, blinds and TV. Loos, in the meantime, embody a rain bathe and full-sized toiletries.
Public areas characteristic furnishings by the model’s furnishings companion, Vitra, and amenities embody three assembly rooms, a store and a Canteen M eating space with 24-hour grab-and-go merchandise.
